A few times a week this month, instead of rolling, we’ve been doing jiu jitsu chess at my gym. It allows you to fine tune your game and understand the specific consequences for each action you take. I recommend it to everyone and once you finish your first chess match, you’ll understand why. You’ll see just where your game can improve and how your mind works in conjunction with your body! When we do it, one of us starts standing and the other starts on the ground. We play until a submission is landed successfully.
